Am 14. Juni 2005 hielt Steve Jobs eine vielbeachtete Rede vor den Absolventen der Stanford University. Den Zuhörern erzählte er drei Geschichten, die für sein Leben wichtig waren. “The first story is about connecting the dots”, so Jobs. Mit den “dots” meinte er die kleinen Bausteine, die Mosaiksteine, aus denen sich ein Leben zusammensetzt. Hierzu führte er aus: “You can’t connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking backwards, so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.
